A completed 2020 DD album

āœØ I’m sharing my favourite spreads of this 2020 December Daily album. I document from December 1st to January 1st so it takes quite a while to create each spread later on. I also usually travel to France for Christmas and even though I manage to spend a fair amount of time completing some of the pages, I cannot print all the photos or keep up to date. But that’s ok! I committed to spending more time on the weekends on finishing it these last couple of weeks and I’m so glad it’s complete.

I have shared a few images of it on my IG account and here they are below as well. There is a Youtube walkthrough video if you’d like to see the full album too.

The caption of each photo will give you some info on some of the supplies I used. I will link to the websites at the bottom of the post. I hope you enjoy having a look! šŸŽ„

The inside of the album is a window, since most of the time we had to stay indoors because of Covid.

Here I’ve used some chipboard letters from one of Ali Edward’s kits and I decided to have the 20 falling as if…well, you know.

I love this simple layout. The number is from AE (Ali Edwards again) and the transparency from Lora Bailora.

I used here some cut files from AE and simple embellishments from Crate Paper. It’s my 1st time playing with my Silhouette and it’s tough but fun!

I really love this cut file that Amy Jo from Paper and Spool created. You can follow her on Instagram here.

I spend the evening in Lisbon, I was so excited to see the lights! I like this layout because I usually am not a fan of glitter and strong colours but somehow this page brings me joy.

I created a cut file to try out on the Silhouette, it’s simple but I also like the soft pastel colour for that day of shopping for gifts in Lisbon.

I used some of AE’s lettering and it worked out so good on this page. The felt paper is from a previous kit that Paislee Press made for Ali Edwards I think. I printed a pattern from Crate Paper onto vellum.

I had so much fun making this layout. I used pieces of white and red foam and an alphabet cut die set from Lora Bailora. I then mixed the letters with some stickers from Crate Paper.

I think my favourite pages include cut files. I managed to create a reindeer headband cut file to show a picture of funny faces we made with my parents the morning of the 24th.

On this page I used the transparency and the 25 number from Lora Bailora, and added some die cut embellishments and some stickers from Crate Paper.

Black and white pictures can work so great in some layouts. I tend to turn in Black and white some of the phone photos taken quickly inside the house. The result feels a little more smooth and helps to keep the colours and overall feel more consistent.

Between Christmas and NYE I try to softly move onto a less Christmassy and more festive or wintery palette, with more shades of blue and a bit less of red or green.

Another cut file! I took so many photos that day and I like to have them underneath these littles windows here. The embellishments are from Crate Paper.

I’m not sure whether the O of Home is going to really stay in place… another cut file for NYE šŸ™‚

And the last cut file for this album. It’s been so much fun to experiment with the Silhouette under this Christmas theme.

  • Thanks for the inspiration Iā€™m currently working on my Dd2020 and I just found yours on Pinterest. It is very beautiful. I am curious do you have more pictures than you show (not included in these photos for privacy ) or is it mainly papers and embellishments?

    Best regards
    Janni from Denmark

    • Thank you for your sweet words Janni! I do indeed have more photos in other layouts that I didn’t show here, but I will share them in a video where I will do a walkthrough of the whole album, coming up next week. Feel free to share a link to your album once it’s finished, if you have a blog too āœØšŸŽ„ā¤ļø
